James Martin: Saturday Morning host reveals shock mishap on show ‘I set a jacket on fire’  | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

James Martin, 47, stunned his guests on Saturday Morning when he revealed a particularly shocking mishap. The chef opened up about the dangerous situation while chatting about tequila with Rebecca Furguson, 33, and Claude Bosi, 47, on the ITV show. After preparing a delicious meal in the kitchen, the stars relaxed by drinking a shot of the alcoholic beverage. While James poured the drink into glasses he quizzed his co-stars: “How are you guys with tequila? Or can’t you remember?”

In response, Claude quipped: “That’s it! When you’re on tequila you can’t remember, it’s too late!”

However, James appeared to disagree as he recalled a very memorable moment he experienced while drinking the spirit.

The star sheepishly admitted: “Last time I drank tequila was with a mate of mine, a guy called Chris.”

James went on to explain how their night out took a turn for the worse when fire got involved.

The presenter added: “It was this and sambuca and I just spat it out and set his jacket on fire.”

Feeling guilty about the risky situation, James turned to face the camera and said: “So I do apologise.”

The brunette beauty seemed hesitant about the request, as she joked she was worried he was going to put the spicy powder in her face.

As she sniffed the pot, James reassured her: “It’s smokey, it’s not hot.”

Andrea then turned to the camera and jokingly said: “I don’t trust him,” before agreeing the chilli was smokey.

Later in the programme, Andrea struggled to digest a baby onion and joked the show was “horrible”.

“That is horrible, why would you eat a…,” she said before James offered his hand for her to spit the food out.

Saturday Morning airs weekly on ITV from 9.25am.
